  • Description:  Mr Ngawang Phelgyal Gyechen was today sworn in as the new chief justice commissioner of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission. While, Mr Ngawang Thupten took the oath of office as one the two justice commissioners. They were nominated by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and unanimously approved by the Tibetan Parliament-in-exile during its eighth session. The oath of office was administered by His Holiness the Dalai Lama on Oct. 16, 2009.
